ARAUCANIA AYSEN Oh My! We found another shipment of yarn in our storage facility that somehow never made it online, and this time it’s Araucania Aysen. Aysen is a lovely hand-painted blend of merino wool, alpaca and silk, in gorgeous color-ways. It is a very soft yarn, and is perfect for all your worsted weight projects, including pullovers, jackets, vests and winter accessories. Aysen is sold in 100 gram skeins, and has 191 yards per skein. We have 10 color-ways in stock, and enough for several small projects, or one sweater in each color-way. Colinette – The End Of An Era!
For the past ten years, Vintage Knits Wool Shoppe has been your ‘go-to’ shop for Colinette Yarns. Sadly, it has come to an end. We recently received notice that Colinette is no longer selling yarn to shops, and at this point, we are unsure if their flagship shop in Wales will remain open.
Our holiday season sales cleared out our remaining stock of Colinette yarns and kits. It’s all gone, and we are as sad as anyone that we will not be able to bring you this wonderful yarn again. We are currently looking for a replacement for Colinette. If you have any requests or suggestions, email us. Stay tuned, 2016 will usher in several new hand-dyed yarn lines to Vintage Knits.

Brittany Birch Needles Online – Finally!
Okay, we just put the remainder of our Brittany Birch Needles online. The double points were already online. We have added both the 10″ and 14″ straight needles in nearly every size, starting with size 3 or 4. We even have some of the larger sizes, 15, 17, 19 and 35. So, if you are into knitting chunky scarfs or sweaters, these will work out well. Best of all, they are made in the USA.
