Introducing the Regia 4-ply Design Line

This is the hottest sock yarn of the season. It’s sold out at many US yarn shops, but we were able to get a shipment in over the weekend.
Popular Norwegian designers Arne Nerjordet and Carlos Zachrison have produced six stunning Fair Isle patterned sock yarns for Regia’s Design Line. This 4-ply fingering weight yarn is very durable, and has a nice feel to it. All you have to do is knit, and the pattern magically appears all by itself! Two 50 gram skeins will make an average size pair of adult socks. The yarn sells for $9.65 per skein. Each skein has 230 yards. You can purchase the yarn at our online store.

“We believe that the best approach to creating something new is to look into our past and cultural heritage, to bring out the best things that history taught us and to make it our own again. For this Regia effect, we’ve dug deep into our archive of Norwegian patterns and worked on developing an effect inspired by an old men’s vest, which was part of a 19-century Norwegian folk costume from the Gudbrandsdal region of Norway. The colour combinations are inspired by Edward Munch’s paintings of landscapes and beautiful Norwegian nights.” – Arne & Carlos
