New Shipment – Regia Sock Yarns!

Filed under: Vintage Meanderings — sadie @ 1:35 pm

We have a new shipment of two Regia Sock yarns just in time for a quick mother’s day gift, or fun spring or summer projects.  Whether you like your sock yarns mostly wool, or partially cotton, these new yarns have something for everyone!

Regia Cotton Horizont is an amazing self-striping sock yarn that comes in an array of fun, sock-tastic color-ways. This cotton, wool and nylon blend is perfect for lighter weight socks.  Regia Cotton Horizont has a very nice feel to it.  We have eight color-ways in stock, and it only takes one skein to make a pair of socks.  Like most Regia sock yarns, Cotton Horizont is machine washable.  Too see photos of all eight colorways, and to purchase the yarn, visit our Regia Cotton Horizont page.

  • Fibre Content: 41% wool, 34% cotton, 25% nylon
  • Yardage/Weight: 437 yards, 100 grams
  • Gauge: 6+ stitches/inch, size 0-2.5 needles
  • Care: machine wash.

Our other new sock yarn is Regia’s Arabesque Color.  Like Horizont, the Regia Arabesque Color is a self striping sock yarn that knits up into graceful repeating bands of color in varying widths.  This yarn is has no cotton in it, and is a more tradition wool/nylon blend sock yarn.  Like all Regia sock yarns, Arabesque is hard wearing, and should last for years with proper care. One skein is enough for one pair of socks.  You can see all of the colors of Regia Arabesque, and purchase this yarn at our Regia Arabesque page.

  • Fibre Content: 75% wool, 25% polyamide
  • Weight/Yardage: 100 grams/459 yards
  • Gauge: 7.5 stitches per inch; size 2-3 needles
  • Care: machine wash, tumble dry low heat.
